MARRIAGES AT ST. MARY'S CHURCH OSGATHORPE FROM 1606 TO 1891 FROM BISHOP'S TRANSCRIPTS (BT) & PARISH REGISTERS

From 1837 a new register format was introduced, which only provides place of residence at time of marriage. Where the cell is blank the abode is to be taken as Osgathorpe, but this does not mean the place of birth, which can often by identified by making reference to censuses which the author has done in a few cases

From 1837, the father of the Groom and Bride's name was included together with their occupation at the time of the marriage
